Dr. Bogorad earned her Doctorate in psychology from Yeshiva University in 1983, having completed Master's
Degrees at Rutgers University in 1972 and Yeshiva University in 1981. She received additional training in
psychology and medicine in France and Belgium prior to being awarded a Diplomate from the American Board of
Professional Psychology (1993). She is licensed as a Psychologist in both California (PSY19154, 2003) and New York
(#8131, 1985).
Dr. Bogorad is a member of the International Society of Police Surgeons, and is the founder and former director
of the Sexual Abuse Recovery Unit at South Oaks Hospital in New York, the first program of its kind on the East
Coast.
She has extensive experience working with children, adolescents, and families, and a special interest in helping
parents of ADHD children. She is a skilled clinician and marital therapist, with expertise in depression, anxiety,
medical issues, and post traumatic stress.
Prior to relocating to California, Dr. Bogorad assisted in the aftermath of 9-11 in New York, working with
survivors, rescuers, and their families, as a therapist, teacher, and public speaker.
