Dr. Jeannette Hanna, trained at
the Medical College, University of Montreal - Canada Studies and received a M.SC in Immunology in 1978. She was
granted a MBBCH degree from the Medical College, Aim Shams University in Cairo, Egypt in 1973. She has been a
California licensed physician since 1983 (AO35746).
Dr. Hanna has trained as both a
pediatrician and a psychiatrist. She completed residency training in pediatrics in 1976 at the Fayoum General
Hospital in Cairo, Egypt as well as at the College of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in 1980. She completed
her residency training in Psychiatry at the University of California - Irvine in 1994. She is eligible for the
American Board of Pediatrics and for the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
Dr. Hanna's experience in
pediatrics includes: Training in out-patient and in-patient management and treatment, intensive care unit training
especially for premature infants, management and assistance of high risk deliveries, and emergency room
coverage.
Dr. Hanna's experience and
interest in psychiatry includes: Long and short term psychotherapy with special emphasis on childhood and
adolescent disorders, group therapy for adolescents and adults, out-patient and in-patient consultation and
evaluation, consultation for group homes and crises intervention centers dealing mostly with abused children,
evaluating and monitoring of medications with special emphasis on drug therapy for Attention Deficit Disorders, and
the use of hypnosis in conjunction with psychotherapy.
Dr. Hanna is a Consultant to the
Child Guidance Center in Santa Ana, California. She has been in private practice working with adults, children and
adolescents since 1983 in the Southern California Area.
Dr. Hanna is fluent in English,
