Clifford Miller, M.A.
In Memory
Mr. Miller passed away on August 3, 2003. He is survived by his wife, Barbara, seven children, two sisters, many
grandchildren and their families. Cliff was loved and respected by many. He will be greatly missed by those who
know and love him, but he has left us with many memories to cherish and honor his life.
Cliff received his B.A. degree from Chapman University in 1978 and his M.A. degree from that same institution in
1980. He was licensed in California as a Marriage, Family and Child Counselor in 1986.
A retired Orange County Sheriff, Cliff was very active in the community his entire life. In addition to his
commitment to his church, he was a Toastmaster and was active with his Chamber of Commerce and with the Knights of
Columbus. He has been a member of numerous community based councils and task forces on issues related to youth,
family and mental health.
As a selector for R.M. Pyles Boys Camp, he was able to provide many disadvantaged boys with the opportunity to
gain direction in their lives through outdoor camping experiences. These boys are taught discipline and
responsibility along with love, friendship, and a sense of belonging.
Cliff created his own approach called Somatic-Focus, the Miller Method and has presented workshops throughout
Southern California teaching his method to other professionals.
Cliff we will miss you.
