Dr. Uzunov received her doctorate in Clinical Psychology with a concentration in Multicultural Community Clinical Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology, Los Angeles in 1994. She received her Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology, Los Angeles
in 1992, and her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the State University of New York College at Fredonia New York in 1990.

Metropolitan State Hospital Staff Psychologist
Clinical. Duties: Conduct group and individual psychotherapy sessions with diverse ethnic and age groups in an inpatient, forensic setting, and emphasis on court competency and psychiatric illnesses. Conduct psychological evaluations and psycho-diagnostic assessments, participate in treatment planning process as a core member of an interdisciplinary team, supervise pre-doctoral interns and serve on the Internship Advisory Committee.

Duties: Develop and implement day-treatment plans for groups of severely emotionally disturbed children, conduct group, individual, and family therapy sessions, coordinate treatment plans, conduct assessments, provide ongoing case-management for all clients on case load, and provide supervision for milieu counseling staff.

Olive Vista Mental Health Center-Assistant Program Director
Duties: Coordinate and supervise a therapeutic activity program that meets the needs and interests of residents in a locked, special treatment program for the chronically mentally ill. Oversee and monitor the quality of the therapeutic services delivered to residents, assist the program director in hiring and supervising treatment staff, develop the clinical skills of the special treatment program staff by conducting in-services.

Duties: Conduct group and individual therapy sessions with chronically mentally ill residents, complete admission assessments including mental status exams, psychosocial assessments, facilitate treatment-planning meetings, provide ongoing case management for residents, coordinate discharge plans with the social-service designee, provide in-services for the treatment department and serve as a member of interdisciplinary team.
