Dr. Guerra, the Director of Associated Therapists, Inc., received his B.A. from Tulane University, his M.A. from the University of Tennessee and his Ph.D. from the University of Nebraska in 1970. He was licensed in California as a Psychologist (PSY3785) in 1971 and is also licensed as a Psychologist (PY5133) in his native Florida.

A Behaviorist by orientation and training. He co- authored a popular Assertion Training book and audio tapes, which was used in many American colleges and universities.

In practice in the Huntington Beach and Long Beach areas since 1971, Dr. Guerra has developed a strong reputation in Family Therapy, Attention Deficit Disorder, Depression, Anxiety, Substance Abuse and Adolescent treatment.

He has been the Director of Partial Hospitalization at College Hospital, the Director of Youth Services at College Hospital, Director of Youth Services at Western Institute of Human Resources, Director of Counseling at the Los Angeles Free Clinic. He has taught at California State University, Long Beach, the Fuller Theological Seminary, California School of Professional Psychology, UCLA, and California State University, Northridge.

Dr. Guerra is of Cuban decent, speaks Spanish, is married and the father of two boys. His hobbies include sport fishing and computers. Dr. Guerra's style is casual. His offices are comfortable and friendly. He is directive, and is relaxed and friendly with his clients. He believes that giving information and teaching is an important part of his responsibilities.

Dr Guerra's specialty is with children, adolescents and their families. Many times initially resistant child and adolescent clients request to see Dr. Guerra again.
